Ninestiles, an Academy is situated in a large and diverse site which houses around 1500 students and nearly 230 staff. Parts of the building are Victorian whilst there are also areas of new build. It is a highly successful academy with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

This is an opportunity to join an established team of cleaners who work well together to maintain high standards throughout our academy. Each cleaner is responsible for an area and will be expected to clean to the frequency and standard set out. At the direction of the Site Manager, you may be asked to clean areas other than your normal area as required. It is expected that you will be enthusiastic, flexible and care about doing your job well and will have some previous cleaning experience.

Purpose of Role:

To carry out cleaning as directed, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting etc. Report all Health and Safety issues to the Site Manager on duty and Comply with all the Trusts policies and procedures, including the Health and Safety policy.

You may be required to undertake training as identified as necessary particularly in relation to machinery/equipment. It will be essential that you comply with all Health and Safety regulations and report any concerns to the Site Manager on duty.

It is important that you enjoy working within a school environment where you will come into contact with our learners on occasions. All colleagues working at the Ninestiles, an Academy will be expected to share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and successful candidates will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
