Hall Green Junior School is a popular, 4 form entry Junior school with an enthusiastic, hard working staff team. The Governors are looking to recruit a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to join our highly successful team. Our SEND database is currently around 15% of our school population.

This post would suit an experienced class teacher who would like to specialise in SEND, or an existing SENDCo. The role will have a weekly teaching commitment.

We are looking for candidates who:

• will be hands on, getting involved with teaching, learning and modelling good practice for all staff

• holds or is willing to complete the national award for SEN co-ordination

• are a qualified teacher with recent experience at KS2 involving successful SEND support within an inclusive mainstream classroom and helping to close the gap for those children

• have a range of classroom strategies that can be shared to support SEND children in the mainstream classroom

• have great communication skills and a proven track record of working well with staff and parents

• are able to put children at the heart of all they do

• want to take full advantage of the opportunities we can offer in developing this role in our school
