About the Role:

As a graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the English teaching department, provide one-to-one support and help students develop essential skills so that they can succeed academically and thrive
Key Responsibilities:
- assist the lead english teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities to students
- collaborate with the english department to develop innovative teaching strategies
- attend training sessions and meetings to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- provide one-to-one or small group support to students who need additional help with their reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- create engaging and effective learning materials and resources
- support the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
- help students develop critical thinking and analytical skills through discussion and analysis of texts
- participate in planning meetings and contribute to the development of instructional strategies
- monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to the lead teacher
- foster a love of the subject and create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom
