About the Role:

As a graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the English teaching department, provide one-to-one support and help students develop essential skills so that they can succeed academically and thrive

Key Responsibilities:

  • assist the lead english teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities to students
  • collaborate with the english department to develop innovative teaching strategies
  • attend training sessions and meetings to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
  • provide one-to-one or small group support to students who need additional help with their reading, writing, and comprehension skills
  • create engaging and effective learning materials and resources
  • support the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
  • help students develop critical thinking and analytical skills through discussion and analysis of texts
  • participate in planning meetings and contribute to the development of instructional strategies
  • monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to the lead teacher
  • foster a love of the subject and create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom
