Allens Croft Primary School is a diverse, fully inclusive two-form entry school, with three Resource Bases, set in extensive grounds in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham. We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Head Teacher, with the main responsibility to be identified with the successful candidate on appointment. The successful candidate will work alongside the senior leadership team to manage and lead the school. They may already have leadership experience within their setting, or be someone who is ready to take the next step in their career. They may be in possession of the National Professional Qualification Senior Leadership but this is not essential, although we would expect the successful candidate to undertake this.
We’re looking for someone who has:- a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- high quality teaching practice with a proven track record of raising attainment and achievement
- experience of successfully leading whole school curriculum improvements
- understanding of how to use school self-evaluation techniques to raise standards and drive improvement
- ability to analyse data, the performance of pupils and pupil progress and plan appropriate actions for whole school improvement
- ability to lead, motivate, challenge and support others in working towards common agreed goals and priorities
- successful experience of working in partnership with the Governing Body, staff and parents/carers
- knowledge of recent educational developments, initiatives and legislation and how they may impact upon the school
