Our children and the community we serve, are at the heart of all we do. We are a diverse and inclusive primary school, with a lot to be proud of. As soon as you walk through the door you will feel the warmth, enthusiasm and positivity in all we do. Our classrooms are vibrant, energetic places full of learning where we work to create a classroom ethos that allows children to develop resilience through taking control of their learning and develop positive strategies to turn challenges into triumphs. Children enjoy every minute of their learning and teachers know that every learning minute makes a difference in the life of each and every child. Each child is valued as an individual and teachers tailor goals to ensure that all children make good progress and feel successful regardless of their starting points.

You will be required to;

  • support pupils while they eat their lunch, cutting up food for pupils and making sure tables are clean and that water is available
  • ensure standards for healthy eating and table manners are maintained
  • report accidents, complete first aid and complete accident forms if necessary
  • ensure that school behaviour policies are followed
  • lead the children in the establishment of suitable playground games and make playtimes more interactive
  • maintain checks throughout the lunch break to ensure pupils are safe

Working at Barford Primary School is extremely rewarding and personally satisfying. A close and supportive ethos exists throughout school and whilst we all work extremely hard, there is also lots of laughter!
