Deanery C E Primary School is a caring, friendly and successful two-form entry academy primary school. We are extremely proud of the high standard of our in house school catering service and we are committed to continuing to offer an excellent service to our pupils and staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced person to manage our catering service.
We provide 280 lunches every day and we are looking for a skilled Catering Supervisor to manage, operate and deliver a high quality catering service in school, in line with all relevant legislation making efficient and economic use of resources.
• candidates must be capable of developing and implementing a range of creative and innovative ideas to continue to further develop our home cooked catering provision
• you will have a good working knowledge of managing special diets to ensure our pupils with dietary needs can be provided for
• you will be motivated by a passion for quality coupled with the highest standards in food production, presentation and service
• you must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of practical cooking in a large-scale environment, budget management experience and good IT skills
• you must have supervisory management experience and be able to lead a team, demonstrating good leadership and motivational skills to other members of the catering team. You must be capable and motivated to mentor and develop your catering team
• effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer care are essential, as is the ability to work and lead as part of a team
- This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
