Job Information

We are looking to appoint an experienced Sports Coach who will have an important role in delivering high quality PE, school sport and physical activity. It is an excellent opportunity for a flexible, creative and committed individual to join our happy, vibrant and skilful team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has at least two years’ paid experience of teaching physical education in a primary school
  • has a good working knowledge of the primary PE National Curriculum
  • has excellent organisational and communication skills
  • has experience of inclusion within the mainstream setting
  • can deliver a range of extracurricular sports activities
  • understands the individual needs of children and can develop and inspire young people to become and stay involved in sport and physical activity
  • aware of the PE, school sport and physical activity funding requirements and can record impact statements on to the report
  • has experience in classroom management
  • can communicate with children, parents and staff effectively
  • is caring, fun, creative and inspiring
  • has a passion to ensure the very best for our children
  • is available to work before and after school hours

Qualifications

Essential:

  • level 2 NGB Qualification in more than one sport
  • BTEC or A level P.E
  • level 3 qualification in PESS
  • level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or GCSEs grade 5 and above

Desirable:

  • · HNC in Sport /HND in Sport /Sports degree

Interviews: Thursday 28 November 2024. Part of the interview process will be a class observation; you must be available to attend and take part in this activity.
