Job Information

Water Mill Primary School serves the communities of Selly Oak and Harborne. We are a happy, safe, caring community all working hard to ensure that each child achieves their very best and meets or exceeds all expected standards. We know that children work best when they are happy, interested and challenged and that school life is not just about academic standards, it is also about building positive relationships and participating in a wide variety of activities in and outside of school. We are a small, friendly one form entry primary school on the borders of Selly Oak and Harborne, Birmingham. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Playworker to join our friendly, efficient and caring team.
You will be required to:

  • assist the before and after school manager in securing the safety and welfare of our pupils during breakfast club
  • supervise pupils whilst they eat their breakfast, encouraging healthy eating habits and good manners and behaviour
  • report accidents and complete accident forms if necessary
  • ensure school behaviour policies are followed
  • be motivated and lead activities with the children playing suitable games making breakfast club fun
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
