Interviews: Tuesday 26 November 2024About the role:
Greet School is a 4-form entry primary school in the heart of Sparkhill providing the best education for children in an area experiencing high levels of deprivation.
We are a highly committed team, passionate about working in inner city Birmingham.
If you are an experienced, hard working and a flexible team member who will strive to provide our pupils with the best education possible, we would like to hear from you!
We are friendly, welcoming and supportive and will look after your professional development and your mental wellbeing. We believe that colleagues should be treated with kindness and respect.
This exciting role will be based in our intervention room, ‘The Hive’ and will be focused on supporting our children with significant and complex SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disability) needs. This includes children with social, communication & emotional needs. Some children have EHCP plans. We provide a personalised curriculum offer within our HIVE, with a high focus on using visuals to support communication. You will also be supporting some of these children for some of the day within their mainstream classes, as part of our inclusive strategy.
You will work within this space as part of a team to support the Class Teacher.
You will also have support from the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and regular external agency support.
We anticipate that, subject to appropriate checks, this role will commence in January 2025 - This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
