Job Information

Hodge Hill College is seeking an organized and responsible Cover Supervisor to supervise classes and support students' learning when teachers are unavailable. This is a 12-month fixed term position working 32.5 hours per week during term time.

As a Cover Supervisor, your main duties will include:

  • supervising classes and maintaining an engaging, constructive environment
  • overseeing work that has been set by teachers
  • responding to questions and requests from students
  • managing student behaviour and promoting a responsible attitude
  • reporting on progress and participating in department/pastoral meetings
  • adapting approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • the ideal candidate will be able to connect with students, have strong classroom management abilities, and be flexible in supporting various subjects/activities. Previous experience working in schools is preferred
