Job Information

We are seeking to appoint a Building Services Supervisor who will play a key role in ensuring that our school and its grounds are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and who can work with us in planning and supervising improvements.

We are seeking an individual who:

  • has experience in caretaking and excellent DIY and repair skills
  • is self-motivated and able to work under pressure, using their own initiative
  • is honest and trustworthy
  • is able to identify and prioritise their work effectively and organise their own work schedule, ensuring that all jobs are completed to the highest standard
  • takes pride in their work and the condition of the school and grounds
  • has a flexible, positive and ‘can-do’ attitude and is confident in using a computer
  • Enhanced DBS requirement
  • this post will involve lone working

You will be responsible for:

  • overall provision of security, janitorial and cleaning at the school
  • the management of repairs and maintenance of the school site
  • monitoring the work of external contractors on site
  • sourcing materials and managing a small budget
  • some general maintenance at our partner school, Kings Norton Nursery School, as required
