Job Information

Due to the promotion of the current deputy head teacher, we are seeking to appoint a new deputy head teacher to help lead, inspire and develop our popular and thriving school. Allens Croft Primary School is a caring, inclusive school at the heart of our community. Our aim is to promote excellence in teaching and enjoyment in learning as the foundation for success in life through a rich, broad and balanced curriculum.

We have supportive and friendly staff and governors who are committed to maintaining high standards by achieving the best for all pupils. We are a two-form entry primary school in Birmingham with capacity for 456 pupils, including our resource base of 36 places.

Key Requirements ‐ we are looking to recruit a deputy head teacher who will support the head teacher to:

  • successfully lead the school in this ever-changing educational landscape
  • have a clear educational philosophy and vision which focus on raising achievement and standards across the whole school
  • maintain our culture of high expectations of attainment and progress
  • lead by example in promoting our pupils’ welfare, learning, emotional well‐being and happiness
  • continue to promote inclusion and diversity
  • have the personality, skills and understanding to lead and manage a highly effective team
  • have a recent proven record of effective leadership, performance and management
  • embed a collegiate approach which promotes the highest quality of teaching and learning
  • be committed to working in partnership with governors, staff, parents and carers, key partners and the local community to ensure future development
