We are looking to appoint a Food Technology Technician to join our well-led and motivated team committed to continuous improvement.

This is a part time role of 6.5 hours per week Wednesday and Thursday 9:00m to 12:15pm. The role is fixed term.

The successful candidate will:

  • set high expectations which motivate and challenge students in a productive learning environment
  • provide effective support to the department
  • carrying out risk assessments for practical and technical activities
  • preparing equipment, materials and solutions and setting up/checking equipment and equipment for use in practical classes
  • setting up and, on occasions carrying out demonstrations. Retrieving and clearing away equipment
  • fulfil wider professional responsibilities with high standards of personal and professional conduct
