Job Information

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join Lea Hall Academy, a purpose-built special school in Kitts Green. Lea Hall Academy educates boys aged 5-14 years with complex social emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs. Lea Hall Academy is part of Forward Education Trust, (established in 2017) serving special schools across the West Midland area.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting and assisting pupils with behavioural difficulties and promoting pupils social and emotional development. Some of our pupils are also diagnosed with ADHD, Autism and ODD. We are looking for staff who are confident and resilient, patient and nurturing and who want to work with us we support our pupils to thrive and develop into successful young people.

Successful applicants will be able to contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities with teaching staff in order to plan and deliver high quality educational provision for our young people.

All applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent and be able to evidence this.

We are looking for highly effective, creative and inspirational Teaching Assistants who will be able to enthuse and engage our autistic learners and support them to develop and reach their potential.

The successful candidates will:

  • have previous teaching experience and skills of working with children in up to KS3
  • have experience of working with children in SEND settings
  • have experience of working with children with Autism
