We are a school rated good by Ofsted and work with our local community to support and enrich the lives of our children. Following a new career opportunity for our current Deputy Headteacher, we are seeking to appoint a new Deputy Headteacher (non-class based) from September 2025 to be part of the Senior Leadership Team and have a corporate responsibility for the smooth running and leadership of the whole school, in particular to lead on and promote the school’s vision for SEND, attendance, safeguarding and inclusion.
The successful candidate will be an experienced SENDCO and senior or middle leader with a proven track record of outstanding classroom practice and the ability to improve, challenge and support colleagues. They will also have superb drive and enthusiasm and demonstrate the ethos of being uncompromising in ensuring the very best education for our pupils.
We are looking for someone who will:
· ensure that all pupils are valued as individuals
· have excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills with the ability to communicate with pupils, parents, staff and external professionals
· have integrity and the ability to inspire trust and confidence when dealing with confidential issues
· be an outstanding practitioner with high expectations of students’ achievement and behaviour
· commit to maintaining and further developing partnerships between our school, parents, Trust and the wider community
· has experience of SEND and inclusion
This position is not suitable for ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
