The Executive Head Teacher and Governors wish to appoint an Administrative Assistant for 20 hours per week term time only.

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the smooth running of the office and assist with the day to day duties of school life. At Highfield Nursery School we pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming approach. The role will be to support and work closely with the Office Manager.

Highfield Nursery School operates on 2 sites. Our main nursery school is on the main site but we also offer nursery provision at Dyson Gardens. In your role you would be expected to support admin functions across both sites.

Highfield Nursery School is part of The Birmingham Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools which consist of 9 Local Authority Maintained Nursery Schools.

The role is a busy front facing position within the main office and will involve general office duties with a focus on:

• pupil admissions including the inputting of confidential pupil data, in year transfers, leavers and entering all other related information on the school MIS

• daily monitoring of pupil attendance, compiling accurate information when required for the senior leadership team

• preparation of the school admission applications

• attendance procedures (including phone calls and data entry)

• answering the telephone and dealing with queries in person, via email and on the telephone

• meeting and greeting visitors to school

• accurate and consistent record keeping

• using IT systems to produce letters, emails, and reports

 

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
