This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, creative and resilient leader to shape the next chapter of our school’s journey. This role offers the chance to lead a thriving and supportive community based on Orthodox Jewish values with a commitment to delivering a happy, safe and enriching education for every child.
King David School is the jewel of the crown of the Birmingham Jewish community, and is a voluntary-aided co-educational school based near the growing and popular Moseley Village.
The school was founded by the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation in 1843 as the Hebrew National School, then Birmingham Hebrew School and ultimately, as it is now known, King David Primary School when it moved to its present site in 1965
King David Primary School’s aim is to provide a sound secular, religious and world view, where British values are underpinned by secure, and outward looking Jewish principles that enrich children of all faiths and traditions preparing them for their future education. The school delivers the full National Curriculum together with an emphasis on emotional and spiritual intelligence in a happy and caring Jewish atmosphere. The close association with the local Jewish community provides the characteristics of a village school.
‘This is a warm and welcoming school where pupils of different faiths work harmoniously together. Adults and pupils show a deep level of respect and care for one another, strongly promoting the school’s values. The positive relationships between pupils and staff are clear to see.’
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school to view the exciting opportunities we have to offer. School visits must be arranged by appointment and can be booked by contacting our School Business Manager, Sharon Lester on 0121 449 3364.
