Job Information

We are a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School provision for children of 2 - 4 years of age, with a fully integrated 6 place resource base (cognition and learning). We also offer wraparound provision in the form of breakfast, after school and holiday clubs for our whole age range.

Since September 2018, we have been a part of the Birmingham Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools. We share an Executive Head Teacher with another Nursery School and a Governing Board with 9 Birmingham Maintained Nursery Schools in all.

Please see our school website for further details: Allens Croft Nursery School - Home

The website for our federation of 9 schools can be found here: BFMNS - Home

At Allens Croft, we pride ourselves on our creative and holistic approach to pre-nursery and nursery education. Our approach empowers children to make their own choices and helps them to become self-motivated, confident and self-disciplined individuals. Our principles of creating opportunities for participation, negotiation and collaboration enhance the children's knowledge and skills as well as their ability to respect and to work with others. We ensure that all our work is child-centred and wraps around the children and their families as an all-encompassing service for our community.

We offer a welcoming, happy, safe and inclusive environment for every child. Each age group benefits from purpose-built premises and extensive outdoor grounds, in which children can play, laugh and learn together.

Our latest School (2-4’s) Ofsted Inspection Report can be found within the attached documents.

Our outstanding relationships with children, parents, carers, other professionals and one another are a key aspect of our success. Children flourish as a result of the input of staff who are attentive to their social and emotional needs as well as their physical care and well-being. They benefit from a curriculum and resources that encourage and promote creativity, exploration and development of communication skills. They quickly develop self-confidence and enjoy high levels of self-esteem in the bespoke environment for our youngest children.

We are now seeking a Nursery Officer to join our successful and passionate team. If you have the knowledge, empathy, professionalism, drive and skill to fulfil this role, we would like to hear from you. Visits ahead of application are encouraged.
