Grendon Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated Pastoral Manager to join our team of hardworking, skilled support staff who are committed to our WE CAN ethos.
We are looking for someone:
• to uphold our WE CAN ethos
• to be a valued member of our Pastoral Team leading, our Pastoral curriculum and delivering our school vision for it to remove barriers to learning and develop strength of character
• to assist the Leadership Team in planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and improving pastoral strategies used in school, including those with an attendance, behaviour, mental health and wellbeing and safeguarding focus
The successful candidate will:
• have high standards and take a pride in their work
• be committed to the improvement of our school and its environment
• play an important role in our school, interacting with pupils, parents and other stakeholders alike
• be able to identify and prioritise their own workload, approaching all tasks with a “WE CAN” attitude
• have experience and a proven track record of managing attendance, supporting families and working with other professionals and agencies
• have a commitment to training and professional development, including in child protection
• be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with all stakeholders
• be IT literate
