Job Information

Due to the retirement of a current valued and long serving staff member, Grendon Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated Building Services Manager to join our team of hardworking, skilled support staff who are committed to our WE CAN ethos.

We are looking for someone:

  • to be responsible for the management of the overall provision of security, janitorial and cleaning services at our school and the associated cleaning staff
  • to be responsible for the management of the repairs and maintenance of the school site
  • to monitor the work of external contractors on site

The successful candidate will:

  • have high standards and take a pride in their work
  • be committed to the improvement of our school and its environment
  • play an important role in our school, interacting with pupils, parents and other stakeholders alike
  • be able to identify and prioritise their own workload, approaching all tasks with a “WE CAN” attitude
  • have experience in caretaking and cleaning work and have knowledge of maintenance and cleaning techniques
  • have a commitment to training and professional development
  • be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with all stakeholders
  • be able to deal with emergency situations
  • reside in the property adjacent to school site (available from November 2025)
