Are you an experienced and successful teaching assistant who meets the HLTA standards and wants work in our recently opened purpose-built resource base?We are looking to appoint a committed higher level teaching assistant to our team as we open our Resource Base for 16 primary-aged pupils on the autistic spectrum with Education, Health and Care plans. The resource base is currently being built, will be well-resourced, and is attached to our main building. As a member of the resource base team, you will work alongside two teachers and two Level 3 teaching assistants, to meet our pupils' needs. You will also have opportunities to work alongside staff in our successful mainstream school.
Successful candidates will also:
- already be a higher level teaching assistant or demonstrate that they meet the 33 HLTA standards
- successful experience of working with SEND pupils, particularly those on the autistic spectrum
- have a good knowledge of autism and a willingness to learn more
- be able to teach a class in the teacher’s absence
- work collaboratively and effectively with others
- be an enthusiastic, hardworking professional who can motivate and inspire children
- be punctual and reliable
- have high expectations of themselves and others and be committed to promoting high standards
- commit to safeguarding our pupils.
