BCC commits to the living wage uplift early for its employees.
Due to the current climate and challenges being faced by some of the lowest paid employees in schools, Birmingham City Council (BCC) has committed to implementing the recently announced uplift in the National Living Wage with effect from 1 December 2022, rather than waiting until April 2023.
Our customers' staff who are employed by BCC will receive the first payment in January 2023, backdated to December 2022.
All other schools and academy customers where BCC is not the employee also have the option to apply this uplift early, and will have received instructions on how to confirm this with us.
