The teachers' pay award for 2022 will be processed once the proposals have gone before parliament.

The Government’s response details the acceptance of the School Teachers’ Review Body recommendations on teachers' pay for 2022 as set out in the School Teachers' Review Body (STRB)’s 32nd Report. A 5% increase for most teachers and all leaders, with bigger increases for early career teachers (max 8.9% outside of London).

The DfE have advised that the 2022 pay proposals are estimated to have on average a 5.4% increase to a school's pay bill for teachers. It is anticipated that this will be laid before parliament on 14 October 2022. The Pay Policy template will not be available on our portal for subscribers until after this time.

It is therefore anticipated that this pay award will not be processed before November.
